the Auckland Regional Council, and the Hauraki Gulf Forum
to protect the Long Bay - Okura Peninsula from urban sprawl
by creating a Great Park for the benefit of present and
future generations." |

The petition scarcely left the North Shore but over 1/3 of the
signatories are from other parts of Auckland, indicating the high
level of use and significant concern by "outside" visitors to the
Long Bay Regional Park. |
